Dr. Alberto Jardón Huete is a Full Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Spain, and a member of its Robotics Lab. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics and Industrial Automation Engineering from UC3M in 2006. His research focuses on assistive and rehabilitation robotics, human–robot interaction, and innovative technologies for upper-limb motor assessment and recovery. He has served as Principal Investigator of the iREHAB project, dedicated to AI-driven personalized robotic rehabilitation, and leads the ASEPEYO–UC3M serious games rehabilitation programme. His scientific contributions include the development of interactive rehabilitation systems, the eJamar controller, and therapeutic exergames. His work integrates robotics, virtual reality, and interdisciplinary clinical collaboration to advance rehabilitation technologies and improve functional recovery.

Dr. Diego Fernando Uribe Yunda is a biologist with a Ph.D. in Basic Biomedical Sciences, Professor and Researcher at Institución Universitaria ITM in Medellín, Colombia, and Coordinator of its Biology Programme. He is a member of the Biomedical Research and Innovation Group (GI2B). His research interests encompass cancer biology, the biological activity of natural compounds, toxicological assessment, and biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. His scientific contributions include investigations into the effects of coffee-derived polyphenols on colorectal cancer cell signalling pathways and the biological evaluation of advanced biomaterials. His recent publications address three-dimensional scaffolds incorporating polycaprolactone, fibroin, and silver nanoparticles, as well as titanium dioxide nanotubes on additively manufactured titanium alloys. His research bridges experimental biomedical sciences, materials engineering, and translational applications.

Dr. Pablo Alvarez is a Research Scientist with the MIMESIS research team at Inria in Strasbourg, France. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Rennes and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Université Grenoble Alpes before joining Inria in 2023. His research focuses on medical image registration, computational biomechanics, and physics-informed modelling for image-guided interventions. His scientific contributions include the development of biomechanical and poroelastic models of organ deformation, particularly in the context of minimally invasive thoracic surgery. His work integrates physical constraints and machine learning techniques to improve the anatomical consistency and accuracy of medical image registration, including alignment between two-dimensional X-ray images and three-dimensional CT data. More recently, his research has contributed to personalized computational simulations of liver microwave ablation, supporting advances in image-guided treatment planning.
